When I was seven I was racing scooters with the neighbor boy, and I guess we were going relatively fast. I ended up falling off my scooter and getting a hole in my lower lip, just above my chin, from a stone or something. I don't really remember much about that day but I do have a few vivid memories. I remember having to go to the emergency room and crying to my mom, "I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die!" Of course I was not going to die, I just needed a few stitches. Do you ever feel that way? Like the weight of the world is coming over you way too fast and you're crumpling? Maybe you just got out of a relationship, or finals are coming up and its stressing you out, maybe your parents are fighting, whatever it is, you are not alone. Our life here on earth is just a fleeting second compared to the eternity that awaits us in heaven. Whenever I am just overwhelmed with this feeling, I usually lock myself in my room and blast worship music. It helps me get my mind off of myself and my little problems are refocus my attention on Christ. Girls (and guys) God is holding you. He's got your back, and you can count on Him.
A woman in my church whom I respect very much once said, "If you have ever heard the saying, "God won't ever give you what you can't handle," it's a bunch of bull. God will give you what you can't handle and he does because it forces you to depend on Him!" Basically, God knows you can't always do it alone, He is pushing you to humble yourself and surrender completely to Him. It feels hopeless now but He is preparing you for all He has planned. So if you ever feel this way, just try to get perspective. Sometimes all it takes is taking the focus off of yourself for a minute so that God can make you stronger. This life is temporary, don't get caught up in the little things. God has you.

"Choose everyday to forgive yourself. You are human, flawed, but most of all worthy of love."
